What a tremendous relief! After just five visits from a very helpful technician and multiple purchases and trials of hardware and software, we finally have internet access in the privacy of our own home. Not only does this mean that we can utilize all the planned methods of staying connected to family and friends and post photos, it also means we now have access to bank accounts and can even pay our bills; maybe even book a trip and get away for a few days. This also means that I am now able to make contact with the TWR office in Singapore and beginning planning for my work with them.

HI: Again, thanks for your prayers and thanks for introducing me to a real blog. I have you in my “favourites and will follow your adventure with much interest. What inticed you to go to that part of the world and what do you hope to accomplish? Not nosy, just interested.
Spring is coming to our part of the world and gardening is moving forward at breakneck speed. I avoid it a much as I can.
Teach me about blogs. Should messages be kept short? Are there taboo subjects and who gets to read all this?
Love… Archie.

Hooray! That’s a relief. You’re connected to the world again.
What are you and Pam thinking about in terms of your ” few days’ get away?”

Just a note to catch up. Did all those storms we read about miss you?? Sadness in our household. We lost our beloved dog three weeks ago today. He was very ill during the week before he died and we spent most nights up caring for him and trying to help him. We had him from him a pup and he was 14 years old. The house now feels like an empty cavern.
Hope all is well and that you are still enjoying your tour of duty. I am glad that you did not go to Burma
Love… Archie.
